Unboxing Faith is a blog dedicated to examining Christianity in different areas in life. Biblical scriptures emphasize the importance of the role of the mind (Isaiah 1:18 and Mark 12:29-30); the Christian faith does not have to be blind. Therefore, examining counter-arguments to Christianity and evidence for Christianity is also necessary. After examining evidence, we are convinced that Christianity MUST be true. As J. Warner Wallace, an apologist, former cold-case detective, and author of Cold Case Christianity wrote in his article entitled “I’m Not a Christian Because It Works For Me“, I’m not a Christian because it serves my own selfish purposes. I’m not a Christian because it “works” for me. I had a life prior to Christianity that seemed to be working just fine, and my life as a Christian hasn’t always been easy.I’m a Christian because it is true. I’m a Christian because I want to live in a way that reflects the truth. I’m a Christian because my high regard for the truth leaves me no alternative.”
We believe in the the Apostles’ Creed, that salvation comes by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.
